Soren grew up within the CTS Lutheran community in Bellingham, WA, returning home after services to plunk out the hymns of the day by ear on his grandparents' upright piano. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a minor in religion, at California Lutheran University. Soren writes choral, congregational, and contemporary sacred music, and has provided accompaniment for congregations in the states of Washington and California. When he's not at the piano, Soren enjoys reading, hiking, baking, and yoga.
