“My kids love their time at CTS — the friends they have made and events they've gone to have brought them joy and laughter, all while teaching them about Jesus and their own faith.”

Children, Youth, and Families

Children and youth are a vital part of our worshipping community. Their presence is essential and we believe they deserve spaces and learning activities tailored just for them.

We offer options. Kids are welcome in worship, and we also offer age-specific programs during and after the service. You choose what works best for your family.

  • During Sunday morning service, right after the Children’s Message, kids are invited to Children’s Chapel. Songs, prayer, and story response activities are led by Pastor Muriel and adult helpers. Kids return to the sanctuary in time to participate in communion.

  • Older kids meet after worship on the first Sunday each month during the school year. This group explores faith together through service, games, art, and Bible study.

  • Adolescents explore what it means to affirm their baptism and make their own commitment of faith. This is a two-year program of quarterly classes and retreats.

  • Play time in the gym is supervised by childcare staff after worship until noon during the school year.

Adults

Faith grows over time, especially when we’re in it together. We ask questions, share our stories, and learn from each other as we figure out what faith looks like in real life.

  • Adults gather to discuss a wide range of topics, from social justice to Bible studies. The program begins at 11:00 AM and lasts about an hour. You’re welcome to get a snack and a cup of coffee or tea from the CTS Cafe and head down the hall for good conversation and learning. Childcare is available until noon.

  • Join Pastor Jana on the 3rd Thursday of each month at noon for an in-depth discussion on the upcoming Sunday Scripture texts.

Part teaching, part mutual conversation, we discover insights and inspiration as we explore what God is doing and saying to us, both personally and to our faith community.

  • Have you been worshipping with us as a guest and want to explore becoming part of our faith community? Do you have questions about the congregation or Lutheranism?

Please contact Pastor Jana or the office to receive information about the next scheduled class.

  • Living Into Vocational Engagement (LiVE) offers flexible, hybrid-style learning with various levels of engagement, including multi-week Zoom courses, one-day in-person retreats, interactive cohorts, and the Lay Ministry two-year formation program.

You can take part in upcoming events free of charge because our church has a paid subscription to the program.

Catch the Son Preschool

We are home to Catch the Son Preschool, which offers Christian, high-quality early learning education for children ages 3 to 5. The school applies a loving, play-based approach and focuses on social-emotional learning. Class sizes are small, allowing for individualized attention. Our pastors lead weekly Chapel and are available for pastoral care for families.
