Pastor Muriel is an Orcas Island native, who started her call with Christ the Servant in December of 2025. Ordained in the United Church of Christ, Muriel returned to the Northwest for this call after a ten-year pastorate at Unity Lutheran Church in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Muriel firmly believes local churches are a precious and counter-cultural force for good that will be needed more than ever in the coming years, and that “playful with a purpose” is the most faithful response to the Gospel.

Loves: cookies, camp, team sports, children’s books, geeking out about the Bible. Still learning to like: early mornings, museums, yoga, vacuuming. ​
